Himalaya Kingdom offers the enthusiastic
trekker a number of routes traversing the territory we operate
in within the Western Himalayan regions of Ladakh, Zanskar
and the neighbouring state of Himachal Pradesh. You can
opt for green alpine landscape in Himachal Pradesh to the
starker and awesome hi-altitude deserts and plateaus of
Ladakh and Zanskar. Our treks range from 1 to 24 days. Some
of these routes were once travelled by adventurers, traders,
conquerors, and explorers. Since most of the regions we
operate in fall within the rain shadow the best time is
from May to early October. We also offer a special winter
trek for the more adventurous called the Chadder Trek which
goes along the frozen Zanskar river All our treks are eco
friendly and we believe in contributing to the local population
while leaving no negative impact on them. You can choose
from some of our planned treks or join us in designing one
specifically for you.
Grades of these treks have been categorized
into three types: A - B & C
A: These treks go through
altitudes of below 3000m / 9840 ft. They are comparatively
easy and less strenuous.
B: These trails reach
altitudes of 4500 m / 14, 768 ft to 5050m / 16,564 ft. while
crossing mountain passes known as La in Ladakhi. You need
to be reasonably fit for these delightful treks.
C: All the treks classified
under this category are involve walking at heights of 5500m
/ 18,048 ft which are on passes. Altitudes during these
treks can vary day to day but never going above the mentioned
height. You need to be really fit and have a spirit of endurance
for these treks.
